U.S. Stock Market

With the U.S. stock markets set to open in two hours, there were notable movements in pre-market trading. Weyerhaeuser Co. (WY) experienced a 5.9% increase, while Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) saw a 5.7% rise.

Other companies were also performing well before the market opened, with Ball Corp. (BALL), Alcon Inc. (ALC), and SEI Investments Co. (SEIC) all posting gains of at least 3%. On the other hand, Wolfspeed Inc. (WOLF) and CVS Health Corp. (CVS) experienced declines of 14.0% and 5.1%, respectively.

Futures

The S&P 500 futures saw an increase of 0.21%, and the futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by the same percentage, indicating a positive start to the trading day. Additionally, the Cboe Volatility Index futures saw a rise of 0.79%.

Commodities

Brent crude oil futures experienced a 0.92% increase, while gold futures saw a slight drop of 0.05%. Bitcoin slipped by 1.62% and is currently priced at $28,469.

Treasury Yield

The 10-Year Treasury yield climbed to 4.302%.

Previous Trading Session

In the previous regular trading session, the S&P 500 and the Dow saw decreases of 0.76% and 0.52%, respectively. The Asian market had mixed results overnight, with Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index down by 0.44% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up by 0.43%.

European Market

As of this afternoon, stocks in Europe are down, with the STOXX Europe 600 Index falling by 0.17% and the FTSE 100 Index dropping by 0.15% from the previous close.
