The Thailand SET Index TH:SET closed on Tuesday at 1,376.16, with Thailand stocks showing little movement.

Winners of the Session:

Dohome TH:DOHOME, a retail/wholesale company, emerged as the top gainer during the session, experiencing an impressive 7.8% increase. Dynasty Ceramic TH:DCC, a real estate/construction firm, also performed well, seeing a 3.8% rise. Sri Trang Gloves Thailand TH:STGT secured a spot among the leaders with a 3.6% increase in share value.

Losers of the Session:

BTS Group Holdings TH:BTS, a transportation/logistics firm, suffered the largest decline of the day, falling 8.3%. Following closely behind was Cal-Comp Electronics TH:CCET, an industrial goods company, which experienced a 4.8% decrease. Automotive company BYD Co. Ltd. TDR TH:BYDCOM80 also faced a decline, with shares dropping by 4.7%.

Other Southeast Asian Markets:

Singapore's FTSE Straits Times Index SG:STI saw a modest improvement of 0.2%, while Malaysia's FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI MY:FBMKLCI experienced a slight decrease of 0.2%. The Philippines' PSEi Index PH:PSEI declined by 0.1%, while Indonesia's JSX Composite Index ID:JAKIDX achieved a positive growth of 0.5%.

Asia-Pacific Region Market Recap:

Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index HK:HSI witnessed a significant decline of 2.3%, whereas Japan's NIKKEI 225 Index JP:NIK performed relatively well with a modest gain of 0.1%. China's Shanghai Composite Index CN:SHCOMP faced a setback, falling by 1.8%.

South Korea's KOSPI Composite Index KR:180721 experienced a minor decline of 0.1%, whereas Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Benchmark Index AU:XJO demonstrated a positive trend with a gain of 0.3%.

Currency Update:

The U.S. dollar USDTHB saw a slight drop of 0.3% against the Thai baht, settling at 35.35 Thai baht. Similarly, the euro EURTHB also decreased by 0.3%, reaching a rate of 38.26 baht.
