European Stocks Gain, Stoxx Europe 600 Up

The European stock market saw gains on Tuesday, with the Stoxx Europe 600 index rising by 0.18% to reach 496.33.

German DAX and French CAC 40

• The German DAX climbed by 0.76% to 17,556.49.
• The French CAC 40 index increased by 0.23% to 7,948.40.

Other Major Performers

• Retail company HelloFresh SE saw a significant increase of 12.9%.
• Telephone systems firm Millicom International Cellular S.A. and business services company Gaztransport et Technigaz saw gains of 10.7% and 8.9%, respectively.
• Bouygues S.A., a real estate/construction company, and road/rail transport business Alstom S.A. rounded out the top five with increases of 8.0% and 5.6%, respectively.

Declines in European Markets

Stoxx Europe 600 Losers

• Company SEB S.A. experienced the largest decline among Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, with shares dropping by 7.6%.
• Health care/life sciences firm Eurofins Scientific SE and business services company Edenred SE saw declines of 6.7% and 5.0%, respectively.
• Imperial Brands PLC and health care/life sciences firm Zealand Pharma A/S rounded out the top five decreases with drops of 4.8% and 4.4%, respectively.

Currency and Commodity Updates

• The pound was up 0.04% against the dollar, while the euro saw a 0.02% increase.
• Brent crude oil rose by 0.73% to $82.27.

Bond Market Movement

• The yield on the 10-year gilt increased by 3.64 basis points to 4.130%.
• The yield on the German 10-year bund increased by 1.990 basis points to 2.47%.
